Update from San Diego

Okay so it has been a long time since I have updated my blog. Jason and I are in San Diego and are loving it. We both are missing our family and friends terribly, but are starting to make some friends.

We have been in a 30 day apartment for the last 28 days and HATE it...our neighbors are always getting picked up by the police and the baby next door to us is ALWAYS crying and they just yell at it. It is so sad and scares me at the same time. SO, we are moving tomorrow onto the base tomorrow and I hope it will be better.

I'm sure your wondering why all this temporary housing...well we are in the process of find a house...NOT FUN...this process takes a lot longer then I thought! We have made 4 offers 2 have been rejected and 2 are pending...so we will see. I am going to meet with our amazing realtor on Monday to look at 8 more homes. Please keep us in your prayers we are NEEDING to get into a house soon.

The reason for needing to be in a home so soon is because the Navy is putting Jason on a ship at the end of this month (maybe), but he will be leaving for Mississippi on May 24Th for like 6 months. So I would like to be settled before he leaves. Plus I really want to get out of a suitcase! I don't want to sound like I am complaining, BUT 8 months of living out of suitcases is NOT FUN!

I will be posting pictures soon of our trip out to CA. I hope that I will be posting pictures of the home that we get! :)

Jason

I am so excited for JASON, he found out that he will be the Honor Grad today and finish at the top of his class. He has worked so hard for this with non stop preparing. He is going to get a letter sent to his CO on his ship stating that he was the honor grad. This letter is going to stay on his record forever. Again I am so proud of him!

Okay so should have taken more pictures of the beautiful snow that landed on the frozen water....BUT it has just been WAY TO COLD to go outside. I miss Florida and can't wait to move to San Diego. I am sorry to all for shorting you on the beautiful pictures I could have if I would have gone out and endured the cold... Enjoy the ones from the parking lot at the hotel... :)

Snow Brrrr

Jason is AMAZING

Not only is Jason the most caring and amazing husband, he is also very intelligent and VERY humble....I have to keep reminding him how amazing he is. Right now we are in Rhode Island for his last 3 weeks of training. He has 2 tests within the 3 weeks and he has to get a 90 or better on the first and on the second he has to get a 95 or higher.

Well today he went to take his first test and one of Jason's classmates told Jason that he would fail the test because he said that Jason was not studying the right material... So Jason was really worried. Well Jason took the test and he only missed one question, but got both bonus questions right. His final score was a 102 and he had the highest test score in the class. Only 13 out of the 25 students in the class passed. Let’s just say when the teacher announced that Jason was the highest scorer the other guy did not have much more to say! I am so proud of him and I am so thankful that he loves his new job.

One more story...this one is kind of funny. They have had a lot of class time, but one day they got into this simulator so they could practice driving a ship. The instructor told them that when they drive the ship there is not much of difference between the simulator and the real ship. So needless to say he was excited. He said that he was doing really great and then they had a guy (in the simulator not a real person) go over board. They all had to turn their ships around to go save the guy. Jason got his ship turned around but could not slow down in enough time and ran right over his guy....

All I have to say is that I hope I never fall over board on Jason's ship...ha-ha... He was able to try it again and did a great job and did NOT kill the guy this time. I am sure the guy is very grateful for that. All in all he is doing amazing and he loves it. He got to go into the simulator again two nights ago and he said that he did amazing with hardly any mistakes...He will get to go again tonight to get more practice in the driving of the ship.
